Job Full Description
Now hiring! We’re looking for Streets Operators for an outstanding local municipality to help in the construction and maintenance of local streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems. This is a great opportunity to take advantage of the growth that’s happening all over the Greater Austin area. Cities are growing fast, and we need awesome workers to help keep up!
Work schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Pay rate: $18.00 per hour
What we’re looking for:
- Must have experience with operating utility and street equipment.
- Ability to operate a dump truck, bucket lift, backhoe, grader, hand tools and grader.
- Basic computer knowledge
- Must have Valid Drivers License
- · Ability to work in outdoor elements
- · Ability to work closely with other crew members and departments to complete jobs.
- · Have good communication skills and the ability to give and follow clear instructions
- · Punctual, reliable, dependable
- · High school diploma or GED
Job highlights:
- · Perform general maintenance to streets, sidewalk and drainage systems.
- · Set up secure work zone areas
- · Operate a variety of equipment and hand tools to include but not limited to: grader, bucket lift truck, dump truck, skid loader, roller, chain saw, measuring tools and backhoe.
- · Read and interpret operating and maintenance instructions.
- · Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement
- · Clear brush, trees, and other road debris from city streets
