Job Full Description
Are you a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills and a get-it-done attitude? Express is looking for a Yard Supervisor for a major fabricator and distributor for steel safety products. You will help keep shipping operations running smoothly and efficiently!
What You'll Be Doing:
- Assist the Shipping Manager in coordinating daily yard operations
- Act as a backup for the Shipping Manager when needed
- Check incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy
- Jump in to perform general yard duties as necessary
- Provide direction and instruction to yard employees
- Operate a sit down forklift to help load and unload
What You Bring to the Table:
- Proven leadership and management skills
- Ability to read a tape measure and handle basic math
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Able to lift/move heavy objects (50+ lbs)
- Experience operating a forklift
- Thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Reliable and open to working overtime when needed
