Job Full Description
Our client, a family-owned manufacturing company in Northeast San Antonio is looking for a Welder for a long term, evaluation-hire opportunity. Pay is $19-$21 an hour depending on experience. The company is looking for someone to become part of the family. It’s a great opportunity to join a close-knit community. The job requires both thinking through an assembly/fabrication plan and production welding of multiple products. Duties for the Welder position include:
- Performing MIG-Wire welding to Weld Steel Components
- Work from Blueprints, Work Orders, Diagrams to perform Welds in varying positions
- Operate tools-Hoists, Slings, Overhead Crane, Grinders, Cutting Torch, Hand/Power Tools, Tape Measure
- Troubleshoot, repair and complete Incorrect Welding Orders
Requirements for the Welder position are:
- Physically fit, able to lift up to 50 pounds
- At least 1 years’ experience in welding and fabrication
- Requires own equipment to include small hand tools and measuring equipment
- Demonstrate ability to weld in Standard, Horizontal, Vertical and Overhead positions
- Acquire Welding Certification by the Client's QA Department and pass Welding Test
- Work Independently and with Others, Dependable, Reliable
- Must have Welding Gear/Steel Toe Boots
