Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative

Job Overview:

A leading U.S.-based manufacturing company is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inside Sales / Customer Service Representative. This role is ideal for someone with experience in job shop manufacturing, CNC machining, or metal fabrication, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys customer interaction to drive sales and support operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, providing timely and effective responses.
Understand company products and services to make accurate recommendations and identify upselling opportunities.
Manage and process customer orders, quotes, and RFQs with precision.
Interpret mechanical drawings to recommend appropriate solutions.
Coordinate with engineering, production, and logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, pricing, and order statuses in the ERP system.
Follow up proactively with customers to resolve issues and maintain strong relationships.
Support the preparation of bids, estimates, and proposals for new opportunities.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards.

Qualifications & Skills:
? Experience:

3–5 years in Inside Sales or Customer Service in a manufacturing setting.
Proficiency in interpreting mechanical drawings (required).
Knowledge of steel products and fabrication processes (preferred).

? Technical Skills:

Strong in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
CRM experience; ERP systems like JobBoss or Microsoft Dynamics preferred.
CAD familiarity is a plus.

? Soft Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication.
Highly organized, with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Proactive, solution-focused, and customer-oriented.
Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
