Computer Lab Monitor – Part Time (10 Hours Weekly, M-Th)

Location: Waco, TX

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the tutoring/computer lab job sites, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for children.
  • Assist children with signing onto computers and navigating approved educational websites.
  • Open and close the computer lab, including cleaning surfaces, emptying trash, and locking the lab at the end of the shift.
  • Provide homework assistance and ensure children follow computer lab rules.
  • Monitor websites to ensure appropriate content is being accessed.
  • Enforce computer lab rules and guide children to appropriate behavior.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be computer literate and able to assist children with basic computer tasks.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to provide guidance and manage children's behavior in the computer lab.

Supervision:

  • Reports to the Director of Community Services.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (e.g., boxes of paper).
  • Work performed indoors, with some physical activity required.

Work Environment:

  • In-office work within the computer lab setting.
