Job Full Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles. You will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are operating at their best, providing excellent service to our customers, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Replace and repair damaged or worn-out parts, including belts, hoses, spark plugs, and filters.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and labor hours.
- Collaborate with the service team to ensure timely completion of work and high-quality customer service.
- Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and offering recommendations for future maintenance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or vocational training is a plus).
- Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or technician.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, electrical, brake, and transmission systems.
- Ability to diagnose issues using diagnostic equipment and manual methods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification is preferred but not required.
