Location: McGregor, TX

Shift: 1st shift, 5a-3:30p (first day start at 7am)

A leading manufacturer of farm and ranch equipment, is seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join our team. As a Welder, you will play a vital role in the fabrication and assembly of high-quality metal products.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform welding tasks including MIG and TIG welding, using various welding techniques to join metal components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine welding requirements and specifications.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment and tools, ensuring proper settings and adjustments for each welding task.
  • Prepare workpieces by cleaning, cutting, and grinding metal surfaces as needed.
  • Position and secure workpieces, using clamps, jigs, and fixtures, to achieve precise alignment and fit.
  • Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions, ensuring strong and durable welds with minimal defects.
  • Inspect and test welded joints to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Welder, preferably in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
  • Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
  • Strong knowledge of welding equipment, tools, and materials.
  • Familiarity with welding codes, standards, and quality control procedures.
  • Ability to work with various metals, such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in welding and fabrication work.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Valid welding certifications, such as AWS, are a plus.
