Job Full Description
A Sieve Operator typically works in industries like manufacturing, construction, food processing, or chemical production, where sieving or filtering materials is essential. Their main responsibility is to operate and maintain sieving equipment, ensuring that materials are separated or refined as per the required specifications.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate Sieve Equipment:
- Set up, operate, and monitor sieve machines that filter or separate materials based on particle size.
- Adjust settings and parameters on sieving equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Material Handling:
- Load and unload materials into the sieve machine.
- Ensure that materials are being processed according to the job specifications (e.g., grain size, cleanliness).

Monitoring and Quality Control:
- Inspect the output to ensure that the sieved material meets quality standards.
- Perform checks to identify and correct any issues with the sieving process (e.g., clogging, incorrect filtering).
- Maintain detailed records of production and sieving processes.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Regularly clean and maintain sieving equipment to prevent wear and tear.
- Troubleshoot mechanical or operational issues and make adjustments or report them to maintenance staff.
- Perform minor repairs or report major mechanical issues to supervisors.

- Ensure that all sieving operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure safety and efficient operation.
