Pay: DOE $18-$22/hour
Schedule: 6:00AM – 3:30PM Monday-Thursday; 6:00AM – 10:00AM Friday

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Control/Electronics Technician to install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic control systems. The role involves working with relays, switches, solenoids, motor controllers, and performing tasks such as reading schematics, panel building, soldering, and mechanical assembly, while ensuring system efficiency, safety compliance, and thorough documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, calibrate, and maintain control systems, including panel building and soldering.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with existing systems.
  • Perform regular tests and inspections to ensure optimal system operation.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Recommend system modifications or upgrades for better efficiency and safety.
  • Coordinate with other teams to complete projects.
  • Document all work, including repairs and parts used.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Provide training and guidance to less experienced staff.
  • Maintain an inventory of electrical/electronic components and equipment.
  • Assist in prototype development and troubleshooting for new systems.
  • Use handheld tools (e.g., screwdrivers, drills, soldering iron, wire crimpers).
  • Rework and repair equipment per engineering specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3-5 years of experience with control systems and mechanical assembly.
  • Soldering experience required.
  • Ability to read and follow instructions and technical documentation.
  • Basic computer navigation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Self-motivated with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to use measuring devices (e.g., tape measures, calipers).
  • Must have personal tools.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift 30-50 pounds regularly.
  • Perform repetitive tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting.
  • Manual dexterity for assembling and adjusting equipment quickly and accurately.
