Job Full Description

This position requires individuals who are confident working independently, can read and interpret blueprints, and have hands-on experience building structural steel components. Applicants must have their own welding gear and be prepared to demonstrate their skills through a welding and blueprint test.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welding & Fabrication:

    • Weld frames, studs, and structural components using MIG and wire welding.

    • Build structural steel parts from blueprints with a high degree of accuracy and quality.

    • Operate and maintain your own welding equipment.

  • Blueprint Reading:

    • Read and follow blueprints to complete fabrication projects according to detailed specifications.

    • Verify dimensions and layout accuracy before and after welding.

  • Machine Operation:

    • Operate burn tables for cutting steel materials to spec.

    • Perform saw cuts, drill holes, and assist in beam processing as required.

  • Parts Department:

    • Collaborate with the parts department to prepare and assemble components for production.

    • Ensure all fabricated parts meet the required standards and tolerances.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a welder/fabricator in a structural steel environment.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.

  • Must provide and maintain your own welding gear.

  • Proficiency with MIG and wire welding techniques.

  • Skilled with saws, drills, and other fabrication tools.

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
