Install Helper
Position Overview:
A local glass company is seeking a reliable and hardworking Install Helper to assist with the installation of glass products in residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be eager to learn, and work alongside experienced installers to provide high-quality service to our customers. This is an excellent entry-level position for individuals interested in the glass installation industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist lead installers in the installation of glass windows, doors, mirrors, shower enclosures, and other glass products.
- Help load and unload glass products and equipment from the truck to the job site.
- Prepare job sites by cleaning and ensuring all necessary materials and tools are available.
- Safely handle and transport glass materials to prevent damage.
- Assist with the measurement and cutting of glass as needed under supervision.
- Hold and position glass panels during installation, ensuring accurate placement.
- Ensure job sites are kept clean and organized throughout the installation process.
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure personal and team safety while handling glass and tools.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in construction, carpentry, or installation work is a plus but not required.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, including glass panels weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime or weekend work as needed.
