Job Title: CDL-A Truck Driver & Heavy Equipment Operator (Track Hoe & Front-End Loaders)

Location: Parowan, UT

Job Type: Full-Time

Start Time: 8:00 AM (Must arrive by 7:45 AM)


Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable CDL-A Truck Driver & Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. This role involves operating heavy equipment, including Track Hoe and Front-End Loaders, and driving a CDL-A truck. Candidates must be able to perform a variety of tasks, including loading and unloading materials, shoveling, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety.


Key Responsibilities:

  • CDL-A Truck Driving:

    • Safely operate a CDL-A truck to transport materials to and from various job sites.

    • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.

    • Load and unload materials onto the truck.

  • Heavy Equipment Operation:

    • Operate Track Hoe, Front-End Loaders, and other heavy equipment on job sites.

    • Ensure the equipment is used safely and efficiently.

  • Shoveling:

    • Assist with manual labor, including shoveling materials when needed.

  • Record Keeping:

    • Maintain accurate records of work completed using paper timecards.

    • Complete all necessary paperwork clearly and neatly with legible handwriting.

    • Ensure MSHA documentation is complete and up-to-date.

  • Safety and Compliance:

    • Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines.

    • Must have MSHA certification and paperwork completed before starting (required for employment - certification class provided).

    • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management.


Requirements:

  • Valid CDL-A license.

  • Experience operating heavy equipment such as Track Hoe, Front-End Loaders, and related machinery.

  • MSHA paperwork must be complete before employment (MSHA certification is required).

  • Must be able to perform physical labor, including shoveling and lifting heavy materials.

  • Strong attention to detail and neat handwriting for record-keeping.

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Punctual and reliable; must arrive on-site by 7:45 AM for an 8:00 AM start.

  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety.


Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly wage at $20/hr
