  • Quality Inspector
    Leading Manufacturer of Medical Devices
    Schedule: Full-Time
    Pay: $19/hour

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform Inspections: Conduct accurate mechanical, physical, and visual inspections of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies using microscopes, calipers, and micrometers.
    • Compliance Assurance: Ensure products meet both internal and external specifications by performing routine and non-routine inspections and evaluations.
    • Documentation: Support the paper document archival process, including preparation of pallets for shipment and scanning documents for electronic archival.
    • Non-Conformance Reports: Initiate and support Non-Conformance (NC) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) activities as required.
    • Special Projects: Participate in special projects as they arise, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Inspection Tasks: Complete 10-15 different inspections as per inspection plans and specification requirements.
    • PCI Activities: Perform PCI activities for NA Notifications at the US Regional Service Center as needed.
    • Quality System Compliance: Follow all procedural requirements to maintain compliance with applicable Quality System Regulations (e.g., cGMP compliance).

    Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:

    • Education: Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent; AA or Technical Degree preferred.
    • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills to access and document information regularly.
    • Communication Skills: Basic written and oral communication skills to understand verbal instructions and read/comprehend written work instructions, including engineering drawings.
    • Regulatory Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of medical device regulations and FDA standards preferred.
    • Manual Dexterity: Adequate manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment.
    • Physical Requirements: Ability to occasionally lift objects up to 25 lbs and perform essential job functions in an office environment, including long periods of sitting to enter/analyze data.
