Express Employment Professionals are currently searching for a full time permanent Heavy Equipment Operator for a locally owned landscape company! The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of heavy equipment operations and have the ability to operate various machines safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities of the heavy equipment operator:
- Operate a range of heavy equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and skid steers, to perform various landscaping tasks.
- Execute grading, excavation, and earthmoving projects with precision and attention to detail, ensuring proper drainage and terrain modification.
- Safely maneuver equipment through tight spaces, around obstacles, and within established work zones.
- Collaborate closely with the landscaping team to implement design plans, hardscaping elements, and planting initiatives.
- Maintain equipment by conducting routine inspections, performing preventive maintenance, and reporting any malfunctions or issues.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a secure work environment for yourself and team members.
Qualifications of the heavy equipment operator:
- Proven experience as a heavy equipment operator, specifically in a landscaping or construction setting.
- Proficient operation of bulldozers, excavators, loaders, skid steers, and other relevant heavy machinery.
- Strong understanding of grading, excavation, and earthmoving techniques, with an eye for precision.
- Ability to interpret and follow landscaping plans, blueprints, and project specifications.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and mechanical aptitude.
- Safety-conscious mindset with knowledge of equipment safety protocols and industry best practices.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Valid [State] driver's license and clean driving record.
- CDL-B License required, DOT card certification
- On call during winter months
- Physical fitness to endure extended periods of sitting, standing, and operating heavy equipment.
