Express Employment Professionals are looking to hire for a experience Structural Fabrication Inspector to ensure that incoming and in-process materials and products meet quality standards. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, meticulous, and capable of adhering to established process controls for a company in Logan, UT!

Responsibilities for the Structural Fabrication Inspector:

  • Inspect incoming and in-process materials, products, and components (welded, machined, assembled, or finished) using various inspection tools (gauges, scales, vision systems, etc.) to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Work closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure purchased materials meet quality standards.
  • Investigate quality issues, generate non-conformance reports, and implement corrective actions based on customer feedback and internal findings.
  • Maintain quality records, ensuring compliance with process controls and regulatory standards.
  • Assist in organizing and archiving quality documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers, management, vendors, and external auditors in a professional manner.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or technical certification in welding, inspection, or quality management preferred.
  • AWS Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Level II qualifications in Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Penetrant Testing (PT) per ASNT-TC-1A, or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience with Portable CMM equipment (articulating arm, laser tracker) and related inspection software.
  • 2+ years of experience in quality control or inspection in a manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and engineering drawings.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support quality control efforts

Schedule and Benefits:

  • Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
