Express Employment Professionals are looking for a dedicated skilled Mill Worker to join an excellent team in Logan, UT.
The Mill Worker will assist in the cutting, shaping, and assembly of materials for construction projects. This position requires attention to detail, strong physical stamina, and the ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain woodworking equipment, such as saws, drills, and mills, to process wood and other materials.
- Measure and cut materials according to blueprints or specifications.
- Assemble parts and products for construction, ensuring precision and quality.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery to ensure proper functionality.
- Ensure all materials meet safety standards and project specifications.
- Assist in managing inventory and ordering supplies as necessary.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure project timelines and requirements are met.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working as a mill worker or in a construction-related field preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with hand and power tools.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials and work in varying weather conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to safety and a team-oriented attitude
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to work in various outdoor and indoor environments.
Compensation and schedule:
- $16-$18/hour
- Monday - Friday, 8:00 am- 5:00 pm
