The quality control technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that products meet established quality standards. The typical responsibilities and requirements for this position include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre-production and post-production inspections of CNC-machined parts to verify adherence to specifications and quality standards. This includes measuring dimensions, checking tolerances, and assessing surface finishes.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure consistency and compliance with quality procedures. This involves observing machine operations and identifying any deviations from standard practices
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and any quality-related issues. Prepare reports summarizing findings and recommend corrective actions when necessary
  • Work closely with production teams to address quality concerns, provide feedback, and implement improvements. Participate in quality assurance meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist in training production staff on quality control procedures and the proper use of inspection equipment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in quality control or CNC machining are advantageous

  • Prior experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment, particularly in CNC machining and fabrication, is preferred

  • Proficiency in using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

  • Strong observational skills to detect defects and ensure products meet quality standards.

  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities to document findings and collaborate with team members.

  • Analytical skills to identify root causes of quality issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

Schedule and salary:

  • $17- $22/hr
  • Monday - Thursday
  • 6:00 am - 4:30 pm

This role is essential for maintaining product quality and customer satisfaction in a fabrication setting. The Quality Control Technician ensures that all products meet the required specifications before reaching the customer.
