Outside Sales Representative – Construction Materials

 

Location: Travel within Hampton Roads (ALL 7 cities)

 

Schedule: Monday- Thursday 7am-430pm, Friday 7am-4pm

 

Pay: $40,000-$50,000 (based off of experience) and uncapped COMMISSION

We are committed to delivering exceptional products and services to our clients and are looking for a motivated and driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team.

 

Position Overview: As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for selling our construction materials to contractors, builders, and other key industry players. You will work in the field, visiting job sites, building lasting relationships, and creating new business opportunities. Your efforts will directly contribute to the growth of the company, and your earnings will reflect your performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visit construction sites to introduce and promote our range of construction materials.
  • Establish, maintain, and grow relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Create and manage your own sales routes, strategically targeting high-potential areas.
  • Cold call prospective clients to generate new business.
  • Set appointments and conduct product demonstrations with potential clients.
  • Understand the needs of clients and provide tailored solutions that match their project requirements.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to stay ahead in the industry.
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to overall company growth.
  • Report sales activities and pipeline progress to management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in construction materials or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials and the building industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
  • Self-motivated with a drive to exceed sales goals.
  • Ability to handle rejection and turn cold leads into sales opportunities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

Compensation:

  • Base salary plus commission (uncapped potential for high earnings based on performance).
  • Incentives and bonuses for meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Having a company truck to travel to all sites.
