Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Screening: Conduct initial oral screenings and review patients’ dental history.
- Teeth Cleaning: Perform cleanings to remove plaque, stains, and tartar from teeth.
- Preventive Care: Apply fluoride treatments and sealants to prevent cavities.
- X-rays: Take and develop dental x-rays to identify oral health issues.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of maintaining good oral health.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatments.
- Assist Dentists: Support dentists during procedures and help with selecting appropriate treatments for various dental conditions.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Licensure: Must hold a valid license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
- Education: Diploma or degree in Dental Hygiene; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or in a similar role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using dental instruments and equipment.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and interact with patients.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing for long periods.
