Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift and material handling equipment to efficiently load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse. This role requires adherence to safety protocols and effective communication with team members to ensure smooth operations.
Pay: $17.50-18.00/hr
Hours: 8am-4:30pm
Job Duties May Include But Are Not Limited To:
- Load and unload products from delivery trucks and storage areas using appropriate equipment.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet production goals.
- Adhere to OSHA safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Ensuring cleanliness, tidiness and safety of work environment.
- Inspecting inventory and shipments for damage and faults.
- Loading and wrapping stock on pallets.
- Move goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Material Handler Requirements:
- 18 years of age or older.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or similar role in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Valid forklift operator certification is preferred; OSHA certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with various types of forklifts, including pallet jacks, cranes, and clamp trucks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks (up to 50 pounds) safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management and reporting purposes.
- Physically strong, agile and dexterous, and undeterred by heights and adverse climatic conditions.
- Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and procedures (OSHA standards)
- Experience with heavy equipment operation in a warehouse setting
