General Summary

Responsible for providing support for the overall maintenance effort in a timely manner.  Responsible for the safe, efficient operation of plant processing equipment. All candidates MUST have experience working in a food or beverage manufacturing environment. 

Pay: $30.00-$42.00ph DOE

Schedule: Monday-Friday, weekend shifts available as well. (Night shift and weekend shift currently available)

Duties:

  • Responsible for the repair and maintenance of a wide variety of equipment associated with the production facility.                                                
  • Responsible for monitoring and adjusting various plant functions such as chemical systems, water usage and selected equipment efficiencies throughout the facility.                                                            
  • Responsible for having a firm knowledge of plant layout.                                                  
  • Responsible for staying abreast of current company policies as they relate to safety, environmental issues, etc.  Will promote safety in the work place and apply teamwork approach to all work tasks.                    
  • Will insure that food industry standard work habits are incorporated towards all job tasks.                     
  • Responsible for contributing to the overall preventative maintenance program within the current framework as directed.                                               
  • Responsible for completing speedy and effective maintenance during plant downtime as directed.          
  • Responsible for providing well arranged documentation of work tasks and contributing to the overall record keeping effort.   
  • Responsible for making sure all work tasks assigned/taken on are driven by and logged into the official work order system.                             
  • Will be aware of the fact that maintenance is a service group and must strive to do "quality work".  This means meeting the requirements of all facility/site "customers" and the production department.   
  • Responsible for keeping track of part used and ordering replacement parts.
  • Must stay in constant radio communication while on facility ground.
