Job Full Description
Overview: A local transportation company is looking to fill a Temporary Marine Inventory Control Specialist position in the Marine Services Department. This person would be responsible for purchasing, monitoring, controlling, and distributing items and parts used in operations, maintenance, and repair of vessels.
JOB DUTIES:
May include but not limited to the following:
- Monitor the status of consumable products used as a part of ferry operations, such as liquids (fuel, lubricants, coolant, etc.), paper products (toilet paper, towels, etc.), and anti-icing products
- Conduct timely ordering, proper stowage and effective inventory control
- Fill vessel requisitions and deliver to the respective vessel
- Work in close cooperation with vessel maintenance staff to ensure parts, specialty tools, and operating liquids are available when needed
- Assists management and maintenance staff in providing required parts and services in response to unanticipated repair needs and supports the timely return of assets to service
Requirements:
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to climb, balance, stoop, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, and/or lift as needed
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer and other equipment
- Ability to lift up to 100lbs
- Ability to work in inventory control environment exposed to engine and equipment sounds and smells
Pay:
$30.97/hour
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-3:30PM
