Job Full Description
Overview:
A local union office is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Office Staff to join their team. This position offers an opportunity for growth, with the goal of transitioning into the Office Manager role within the next four years. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
JOB DUTIES:
May include but not limited to the following:
- Pick up and sort incoming mail, and distribute via fax or email to satellite offices
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally and efficiently
- Maintain and organize office files, ensuring accurate record-keeping
- Inventory and order office supplies as needed to maintain a well-stocked workplace
- Process membership dues payments and issue receipts to members
Requirements:
- Basic computer skills (e.g., email, document management, data entry)
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities
- Strong customer service skills with a professional and friendly demeanor
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Pay:
$21.75/hour
Schedule:
Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays 9:00AM-3:30PM with hours and responsibilities increasing over time
