Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is hiring an Entry-Level Shop Helper / Delivery Driver for a local industrial company. This is a full-time, permanent position with day shift hours. Starting pay is $20 - $24 per hour plus benefits once hired on.
The Non-CDL Delivery Driver will drive a 24-foot flatbed truck (10,000lbs max) to make daily deliveries between Seattle and Tacoma. No prior delivery experience is required; our client will provide training to the right candidate who has a good driving record and demonstrates a strong commitment to professionalism and reliability. We are seeking someone who will grow with the company!
Responsibilities:
- Operate a 24-foot flatbed truck safely and efficiently.
- Make two daily trips between Seattle and Tacoma, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Load, secure, and unload products using appropriate equipment, including forklifts.
- Stage and strap down products securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse workspace.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, both in the warehouse and while driving.
- Learn and grow within the role, with opportunities for long-term employment and advancement.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license (non-CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work from 5:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
- Strong commitment to reliability and punctuality.
- Safety-minded approach to all tasks and responsibilities.
- Willingness to learn and operate a forklift.
- Prior warehouse experience is preferred.
- Must pass a federal drug screening and background check due to driving responsibilities.
- May be required to obtain a DOT physical.
