Job Summary: Kent Express Employment Professionals is seeking QA Technicians to assist with implementing and supporting company standards to ensure quality specifications for packaging, raw ingredients, and finished products are met and food safety of manufactured products is upheld. Monitor and sample quality control plans and process control procedures to ensure production of finished product is to standard.

Duties:
- Conduct daily QA walk-throughs to ensure GMP compliance and set an example by following procedures.
- Monitor plant operations for sanitary practices aligned with GMPs.
- Perform pre-operational inspections for food safety and quality.
- Initiate and manage the hold process for non-conforming products and follow up on dispositions.
- Verify batch formulas and product labels for completeness and compliance.
- Monitor CCPs and preventive controls as needed.
- Calibrate equipment and conduct basic analytical tests.
- Perform environmental swabbing for bacteria/pathogens and send samples to labs.
- Conduct allergen testing on environmental and finished products.
- Collect finished product samples and temperature readings.
- Report food safety issues and assist in investigations of complaints and findings.
- Review production records for documentation compliance.
- Manage document and photo retention processes.
- Serve as a resource for production staff on quality and regulatory matters.
- Attend shift meetings to communicate information and issues.
- Support food safety programs and quality standards.
Pay: $24 - $27/hr
Schedule:
Monday - Friday Dayshift and Swingshift
Qualifications:
- PRIOR EXPERIENCE IN QA WITHIN THE FOOD PRODUCTION FIELD IS REQUIRED.
- Basic knowledge of food safety programs and regulations.
- HACCP and PCQI certified or willing to obtain certification.
- Familiarity with basic analytical testing.
- Basic skills in using essential instruments (e.g., scales, thermometers, metal detectors).
- Ability to read and understand SOPs, work instructions, GMPs, and safety protocols.
- Proficient in computers and Microsoft Office.
- Basic problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts as needed.
