Job Full Description
Summary: Under general supervision, performs repair and maintenance activities in accordance with manufacturer's instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety practices. Individual will be responsible for providing routine and preventative maintenance on production machinery.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintenance and repair of hydraulic machinery.
Estimates materials, quantities and time needed to perform tasks.
Maintains service, repair, and other records as required.
Ensures the facility is safe and all hazards are fixed.
May install machinery and equipment according to blueprints and other specifications.
May set up and operate machine tools, such as lathe, grinder, drill and milling machine to operate or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.
May operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
Carries tools and equipment to and from storage and working areas.
Oils and greases machines.
Performs other related duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Experience repairing and maintaining hydraulic equipment.
Ability to read, understand, and carry out oral and written instructions.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Ability to analyze and solve problems.
Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
Ability to receive, track and distribute materials, supplies and equipment.
Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel.
Need some exposure to electrical but do not need full electrician.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Must be able to lift and carry items weighing 50lbs.
Must be physically able to bend, stoop, climb and reach.
Must be comfortable in a light industrial environment
Will be working at heights of 40`
