Express Employment Professionals is looking for a Packager for night shift, for our client in Rainier OR.
JOB SUMMARY
Associates will be working in a large lumber yard measuring and tagging lumber to be processed. The company's product is being shipped to large distributors that sell to lumber mills etc. a lot of their product gets treated and sent to Hawaii, Seattle etc.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Position includes packaging lumber, putting on end caps, staple to wood, band over cap and lumber. intaging, hammer tacker, stapling and banding.
- To be successful in the position candidates must be very aware of their surroundings (extremely safety conscious is a must!),
- Individual must be in good physical condition as this is a very active job that includes lots of repeated bending, reaching and lifting and being on your feet all day long, as well as working outside in the rain and the summer heat.
- Once trained individuals could be a machine operator on the Incision Machine. This machine is a large machine that has a place to put a pallet of banded wood basically what is does is punch holes in the wood so the chemical treatment can soak in. wood can be as large as 6X6 posts that are 15ft. long
