Job Full Description
Our client, a well-established galvanizing company, is recruiting a dedicated and hardworking General Laborer to support our client’s galvanizing operations.
As a General Laborer, you will play a key role in the galvanization process. Working closely with the lead, you will be responsible for filing steel at various stages of the process. This position requires heavy lifting and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
What you get to do:
• Un-rack galvanized materials
• Count, mark, and tag parts with customer names and job numbers
• Clean galvanized products by removing sharp edges and excess zinc using hand files, sanders, wire brushes, etc.
• Identify voids in galvanized coatings and repair them using hot sticks, brush-on paint, aerosol paints, liquid zinc, torches, etc.
• Lift parts manually or with forklifts
• Stack parts using pallets, dunnage, shrink wrap, and banding materials
What you need to be successful:
- Previous experience with material handling preferred
- Proficient in both English and Metric\SAE dimensions
- Ability to identify materials by dimensions
- Forklift experience
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 6:00AM to 2:30PM
Pay: $25.00
