Express is now hiring for a Safety Coordinator at a local company based out of Lacey, WA. This is a Direct Hire opportunity. The schedule will be Monday-Friday with some travel required. The compensation for this position will start at $55,000+ DOE. Job Details:

Primary Duties:

  • Report to and work with the Director of Safety & Compliance to provide safety consultations and education to improve workplace safety.

  • Assist with on-site audits to maintain compliance with DOSH/OSHA regulations (driving a company pool car to clients on the I-5 corridor, 2-3 days a week).

  • Provide clients with proactive measures to identify hazards and reduce injury risks.

  • Assist with Hazard Assessments and preparing Accident Prevention Programs.

  • Prepare clients for impending DOSH/OSHA inspections.

  • Conduct and lead safety committee and safety meetings.

  • Develop and execute training programs and presentations for industry groups and monthly webinars.

  • Establish methods for improving safety performance and evaluate accident risks.

  • Analyze claims data to identify injury trends and develop safety measures.

  • Stay updated with changing state and federal safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in safety administration or occupational/industrial safety & health programs.

  • Ability to learn about safety through hands-on training and research.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.

  • Self-starter.

  • Flexible schedule.

Preferred Experience:

  • Development, training, and/or execution of workplace safety.

  • General DOSH or OSHA regulation knowledge.

  • Certified Forklift Trainer, Certified First Aid/CPR.

  • Construction field safety experience, OSHA 10 or OSHA 30.

  • Bilingual in Spanish.

Work Location:

  • The office is in Lacey, WA.

  • Travel days start early, and some jobs may require Saturday work.

  • Must possess a valid WA state driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Primary residence must be within 25 miles of our office.
