Summary/Objective
QA Inspectors ensure that the highest quality standards are met for all products before they reach customers. Following detailed quality instructions, they perform first and final part checks, rejecting any parts that do not meet requirements. The QA Inspector II role builds upon the responsibilities of QA Inspector I, adding advanced proficiency, cross-departmental inspection capabilities, and mentorship of junior inspectors. Advancement from QA Inspector I to II is based on management discretion, demonstrated skills, and business needs.
Essential Functions
QA Inspector I Responsibilities:

Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, gauge blocks, height gauges, testers, and 10X inspection loops.

Read job travelers and specifications to determine inspection requirements and document results.

Disposition questionable in-process products.

Verify job traveler accuracy and collaborate with peers to ensure documentation integrity.

Complete change documents, manufacturing receipts, and inventory sheets.

Communicate effectively with supervisors and peers.

Occasionally calibrate inspection equipment.
QA Inspector II Additional Responsibilities:

Demonstrate proficiency in inspection responsibilities across all departments.

Assist in training and mentoring QA Inspector I employees.

Obtain and maintain weld inspection certification under NADCAP and customer-specific requirements.

Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
Work Environment

Well-lit and clean facility with a moderate noise level.

Direct contact with various metal materials and occasional exposure to chemicals (e.g., acetone) during part cleaning.
Physical Demands

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.

Fine hand motor manipulation.

Ability to use hand and foot controls.
Required Education and Experience
Preferred Education and Experience
-
Previous manufacturing experience.

Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing standards.

Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Additional Eligibility Requirements

Must have vision (natural or corrected) of 20/30 or better.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
-
Must meet pre-employment background screening requirements, including those under U.S. Export Control Regulations (ITAR).
