Jan Schwenger
Owner
In 1988, Jan embarked on her career journey with Express. Her father, John, already owned and operated the business, and Jan joined him, eager to contribute. She started at the front desk, immersing herself in the day-to-day operations of the company. Over time, she gradually worked her way through every department, diligently learning and mastering each role. When the time came for her father to retire, Jan stepped up to take the reins of the business. It was a significant responsibility, but she embraced the challenge with enthusiasm and determination. With a deep love for the community in which she resides, Jan became actively involved in various organizations. She served on the Board of Directors of Rotary #8, using her skills and expertise to contribute meaningfully. Additionally, she assumed the role of President of the Board of Directors of Northwest Spay & Neuter, where she dedicated her time and efforts to address animal welfare issues. Furthermore, Jan has been a dedicated volunteer at the Humane Society of Tacoma Pierce County, working tirelessly to improve the lives of animals in need. Outside of work, Jan's passion for animals extends into her personal life. She participates in fostering dogs, providing them with a temporary home and love until they find their forever families. Moreover, Jan possesses an adventurous spirit and loves exploring off-the-beaten-track travel destinations. Whether it's embarking on a thrilling hiking expedition or discovering hidden gems in remote corners of the world, she craves the excitement and enrichment that travel brings to her life.
