As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to join our team and support our customers in maintaining and optimizing their ASTG analytical equipment.
Job Description: As a Field Service Technician specializing in ASTG analytical products and equipment, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and performance of our instruments at customer sites. You will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair services to ensure maximum uptime and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, calibrate, and commission ASTG analytical instruments at customer sites.
- Conduct preventive maintenance procedures to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with ASTG equipment, including hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
- Perform repairs and replacements of components as needed, ensuring minimal downtime for customers.
- Collaborate with customers to provide training and guidance on instrument operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Document service activities, including maintenance schedules, service reports, and customer interactions.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to escalate technical issues and provide feedback for product improvements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ASTG products, technologies, and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent technical certification in electronics, engineering, or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in field service or technical support, preferably in the analytical instrumentation industry.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, software applications, and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a dynamic field service environment.
- Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites within the assigned territory (up to 50% travel may be required).
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
