A Vancouver, WA - based vitamin manufacturer is seeking an experienced Training Support Specialist to join their ream for a 2-3 month project.

 

Part-Time Training Admin - Manufacturing Training Support

Job Overview

  • Contract Position: 20-25 hours per week
  • Duration: 2-3 months
  • Primary Location: Hybrid position supporting a manufacturing facility in Vancouver and Ridgefield, WA

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate directly with plant manager to review and redesign job descriptions for multiple departments
  • Develop comprehensive new employee training checklists for:
    • Manufacturing Department
    • Packaging Department
    • Blend Department
    • Warehouse Department
    • Facilities Department

Detailed Scope of Work

  1. Job Description Recrafting
  • Conduct interviews with department managers and current employees
  • Analyze existing job descriptions for accuracy and completeness
  • Update job descriptions to reflect current roles, responsibilities, and skill requirements
  • Ensure job descriptions align with current operational needs and industry standards
  1. Training Checklist Development
  • Create standardized, department-specific onboarding checklists
  • Design checklists that cover:
    • Safety protocols
    • Equipment operation
    • Standard operating procedures
    • Performance expectations
    • Key performance indicators
  • Develop clear, step-by-step training guides for each department

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial training environments
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and documentation software
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Technical Skills

  • Job description development
  • Training curriculum design
  • Process documentation
  • Performance standards creation

Deliverables

  • Comprehensive, updated job descriptions for 5 departments
  • Standardized new employee training checklists
  • Final documentation in editable digital format

Work Arrangement

  • Part-time: 20-25 hours per week
  • Flexible scheduling and hybrid work opportunity
  • On-site visits required for interviews and observation

Compensation

  • Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience
