Specialized Recruiting Group of Walla Walla is partnering with J&J Snack Foods to recruit an experienced Human Resource Generalist to join their team.
The Human Resources Generalist supports a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment, serving as a strategic partner to plant leadership. This role involves a wide range of HR functions, including employee relations, compliance, payroll, and recruiting, and reports to the Human Resources Manager.
Essential Functions:
- Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and timely.
- Support employment transactions and employee relations.
- Administer Workers’ Compensation, benefits, disability claims, and leave programs.
- Maintain HR data integrity in the HRIS system.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal HR policies.
- Provide HR expertise to plant leadership and employees.
- Assist with annual HR programs and internal audits.
- Lead recruiting and onboarding efforts.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee relations.
- Partner with union leadership on labor relations and contract compliance.
- Provide English/Spanish translation support.
- Promote a positive workplace culture.
- Guide problem-solving, dispute resolution, and compliance with employment regulations.
- Enforce company policies consistently.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and OSHA regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field.
- Required: 5+ years in Human Resources in a Generalist/HR Representative role.
- Preferred: 5+ years in a manufacturing environment.
