Legal Secretary – Morgantown, WV
Salary: Up to $72,000 per year (based on experience)
Express Employment Professionals is actively seeking a skilled Legal Secretary for a well-established law firm in Morgantown, WV. This full-time, permanent position offers a great opportunity for the right candidate. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain, and organize legal documents, transaction binders, and calendars to ensure smooth operations.
- Draft, proofread, and manage correspondence, agreements, and closing documents.
- Oversee due diligence processes, including reviewing and organizing financial records, contracts, and related materials.
- Manage general office tasks, including billing, time entry, and document filing.
- Coordinate effectively with clients, financial institutions, and attorneys to ensure seamless transactions and communications.
- Efficiently manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent transactional legal experience.
- Proficiency in legal terminology, legal documents/forms, and local court/agency rules and procedures.
- Experience with client billing is preferred.
- Strong background in corporate and financial legal transactions, including document preparation and management.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
