Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a "jack of all trades" and have a strong mechanical aptitude. This role is hands-on and will encompass many different skill sets, such as a Welding, Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanics and General labor. This role will learn techniques and develop skill sets necessary to ensure accurate and timely completion of custom built projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform tasks as assigned by either the Director of Production or Project Manager.
- Learn and understand the proper use of materials.
- Manage time performing tasks effectively
- Ensure that quality standards are met by following demonstrated standard procedures
- Work as a team with others on the assigned crew
- Learn to prioritize tasks to support the workflow of the entire project
- Maintain documentation of the project for later use as requested
- Operate machinery such as welders, shears, and presses to shape metal parts.
- Utilize basic math skills to make precise measurements and calculations.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience and demonstrable skills in one or more of these areas: welding, carpentry, electrical (AC and/or DC), plumbing, auto/truck mechanics
- Planning and organizational skills
- Self motivated to accurately follow directions and perform tasks well
- Ability to communicate issues and concerns effectively
- Adaptability to work on several different types of projects in the course of a day
- Ability to work under sometimes stressful timelines
- Experience working in a team setting
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a production environment (custom fabrication preferred).
- AS or equivalent certificate program in any technical field preferred.
