Production Packaging Associate
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Production Packaging Associate to join our team. This entry-level role is responsible for properly packaging materials and finished products, operating packaging equipment, and handling materials. The ideal candidate will ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow safety protocols by wearing appropriate PPE and adhering to safety policies.
- Demonstrate punctuality and consistency in attendance.
- Exhibit a team-oriented mindset by working effectively with colleagues.
- Comply with company General Manufacturing Policies.
- Maintain a tidy and organized work area.
- Monitor conveyor belts and resolve any bottle jams.
- Collect dropped bottles from the production floor and place them in designated bins.
- Feed discarded bottles into the grinder (if applicable).
- Inspect the quality of bottles during production, packaging, and labeling processes.
- Perform bottle inspections, including drop tests for specified lines.
- Report any abnormalities, defects, or quality issues immediately.
- Replenish packaging materials as needed and monitor supply levels.
- Ensure proper labeling, bottle descriptions, and packaging meet customer requirements.
- Move finished products to designated storage areas.
- Set up and organize workstations for smooth transitions between shifts.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Responsibilities may vary depending on the plant's equipment and layout.
Qualifications:
- Basic math skills.
- Familiarity with basic computer tasks.
Education:
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
Physical Demands: This role requires regular standing, walking, reaching, and handling materials. Occasionally, you may need to climb, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds is necessary. Reasonable accommodations can be made to support individuals with disabilities.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts in a loud production environment.
- Temperatures in the plant may vary between hot and cold, depending on the season.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas.
