If so, we are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a bookkeeper. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of accounting operations, ensuring smooth processes and accurate financial reporting. You will work closely with leadership while contributing to a supportive, collaborative, and innovative work environment where your input truly matters.
Bookkeeper Position Highlights:
Work Schedule: Full-time, 1st shift, an 8-hour shift between 8:00am and 4:30 pm
Compensation: $22-25 per hour, depending on experience
Bookkeeper Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to maintain strong internal controls.
- Oversee all day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and the general ledger.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations by coordinating with external accountants and providing necessary documentation.
- Process and code invoices, manage expense reports, and reconcile credit card transactions.
- Maintain accurate vendor records, including W-9 forms, and address any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Complete monthly reconciliations, including bank statements, and review vendor statements.
- Manage deposits, apply payments, and update accounting software with all transactions.
- Generate and distribute customer invoices and monitor accounts receivable, following up on overdue balances.
- Collaborate with external accounting firms for tax filings and payroll processing, including commissions (Note: Payroll processing and tax filing are managed externally)
Bookkeeper Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years’ experience in accounting or bookkeeping, with proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of accounting software and tools
- Experience in business management is a plus but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- The ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and work efficiently under pressure.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with a positive and professional demeanor
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with care.
