Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a retail store in La Crosse to recruit for a Retail Assistant Manager position. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with retail experience to take on a leadership role within a dynamic environment.
Wage: $20-$25/hr – based on experience
Also includes monthly bonuses based on performance metrics
Hours: Weekday hours will fall between 10am-7pm and every other weekend
This position will technically be part time but will get close to full time hours
Key Responsibilities:
- Open and close the store, following all established procedures.
- Complete all store learning modules successfully.
- Provide excellent customer service, including handling returns, exchanges, and complaints.
- Collaborate with the store manager to manage employee schedules.
- Ensure compliance with all store policies.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure stock availability.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and organized showroom.
- Learn managerial duties and provide coverage in the manager's absence.
- Perform cleaning tasks and take out trash as needed.
- Train and onboard new employees effectively.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous retail and/or sales experience required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven leadership abilities and a team-oriented approach.
- Great attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods.
