We are seeking a Special Events Coordinator for our client in the Fitchburg area, a local non-profit.
In this role, you would be responsible for the following job duties:
- Work with current successful fundraising initiatives and fund development
- Coordinate and attend all aspects of large and small-scale events
- Partner with staff to manage all aspects of event planning and day of activities
- Expand the number of existing successful events and campaigns
- Partner with staff to recruit, train and manage volunteer staff
- Create marketing and advertising promotional materials
- Develop ‘Best Practices’ processes and documentation
- Monitor and create social media content for multiple platforms and further develop website content
- Inventory and coordinate print materials and event needs.
Qualifications:
- HS diploma or equivalent
- Previous event planning experience in a related field is a must: weddings/special events/catering/hotel planning
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Functional level of flyer creation
- Related fundraising experience
Expected hours: Full-time role mostly Mon - Fri hours with some evening and weekend hours for events - 37.5 – 40 per week
Pay: $30-35/hr. depending on experience
