Germantown printing company looking for Machine Operators ASAP!
We’re looking to fill a 2nd shift temp-to-hire Machine Operator role, ideally with someone experienced who may be available due to company changes or closures.
2nd Shift: 2pm-10pm
$15-$20/hour DOE
Key Requirements for the Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: At least 5 years in a machine operation or similar role.
- Work History: Ideally, a candidate available due to company closure or change in ownership.
- Availability: This position will stay open until we find the right fit.
- Compensation: We recognize this will be above our typical base wage, reflecting the experience required and the temp-to-hire nature.
- Attendance Bonus: This role qualifies for our attendance bonus as an added incentive.
Duties: Measure and set up machines per job orders, change tooling and move guards as needed, load/unload machines, maintain and troubleshoot issues that arise, complete paperwork, assist in other areas as needed. Variety of tasks depending on the day.
Types of machines: Sewing, cutting, folding, gluing, soft cover/perfect binding, and case maker/hard cover machines.
Requirements:
-Ability to lift up to 10-15lbs frequently, 40lbs occasionally
-Ability to read measurements
-Basic math skills
-Mechanically inclined and comfortable with hand tools
Qualities Desired:
-Great attendance, reliable
-Willingness to learn
-Willingness to move to other departments to assist as needed
