Washington County Concrete company looking for Yard Crew!
The Yard Team Member is responsible for the final movement of all pre-cast concrete pieces at the plant. They use industrial sized equipment to load, offload, and transfer all precast pieces. They are the final step in the precast process before getting installed at the job site. The Yard Team Member works in all-weather climates and relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job while meeting company safety, quality, and productivity targets.
Monday - Friday
5:00 am - 2:30 pm (or until work is completed, sometimes requiring to work 10 hour days)
Time of shift can change at a moment's notice.
MUST be able to stay the full day.
Pay starting at $22 DOE.
Experience required: 1+ years of experience working in the construction field, concrete field, or other laboring fields.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Operate forklift
- Set up trailers for loads
- Load Precast on to flatbed trailers according to supervisor’s instruction
- Give hand signals to crane operator
- Rack previous days production
- Wash wall panels
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arm; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel crouch or crawl.
The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
The employee must regularly lift and or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 100 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions and is regularly exposed to wet and or humid conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes of airborne particles. The employee occasionally exposed to extreme cold, and extreme heat.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Year-round outside work. Employee is required to wear hard hat, steel-toed boots, ear protection and safety glasses at all times when they are working.
