Responsibilities

  • Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Ensure proper use of cutting tools and equipment while maintaining safety protocols.
  • Safely handle and store meat products to maintain freshness and prevent contamination.
  • Monitor and record inventory levels of meat products and report shortages as necessary.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment regularly to uphold health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and timelines effectively.
  • Assist in training new employees in safe and efficient meat cutting techniques.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training in meat cutting is a plus.
  • Previous experience as a meat cutter or in food production preferred.
  • Knowledge of various meat cuts and proper handling techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with USDA regulations and food safety standards.
  • Ability to operate and maintain meat cutting equipment and tools safely.
  • Excellent physical stamina and manual dexterity for handling heavy products and performing repetitive tasks.
