In this role, you will be responsible for operating stand-up forklifts to move, locate, and stack materials within our facility. As a Stand-Up Forklift Operator, your primary focus will be on ensuring the safe and efficient handling of goods while adhering to safety protocols and operational procedures. You will play a critical role in our supply chain, managing inventory accurately and ensuring timely loading and unloading of trucks. Additionally, you will collaborate with other team members to optimize warehouse processes, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and contribute to our commitment to meeting and exceeding customer expectations. Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a stand-up forklift to move products and materials to designated locations.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and delivery vehicles efficiently and safely.
  • Accurately pick and prepare orders for shipment according to company standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on the forklift to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining the warehouse layout for optimal efficiency.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation and workflow within the warehouse.

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating stand-up forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
  • Valid forklift operator certification and training as mandated by state and federal regulations.
  • Strong understanding of safety standards and best practices related to forklift operation.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills in managing inventory.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management and tracking purposes.
