Job Full Description
Position Summary:
We seek a highly organized and detail-oriented Executive Assistant to support the Executive Director (ED). The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work independently. This position requires discretion, professionalism, and a passion for nonprofit work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Executive Director, including managing schedules, emails, and correspondence.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and board packets, and take minutes for board and committee meetings and other key gatherings.
- Assist with credit card reports, grant applications, donor communications, and fundraising efforts.
- Maintain and organize files, reports, and records for the Executive Director and Board.
- Manage office operations, including ordering supplies and overseeing office equipment.
- Conduct research and prepare presentations or reports as needed.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Support special projects and events as directed by the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 2+ years of experience in an administrative or executive support role, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Workspace.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
- Passion for Habitat for Humanity’s mission and community service.
Work Environment & Compensation:
- Reports to: Executive Director
- Part-time: 15-20 hours per week with a flexible schedule.
- Primarily office-based, with occasional remote work and attendance at events or meetings required.
- Compensation: $23-26 an hour, depending on qualifications
