Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Control Room Operator for a potential full-time opportunity. The role will involve monitoring and managing operations in a control room environment, ensuring smooth and efficient processes. The successful candidate will work on a continuous shift pattern, alternating between nights and weekends, and will be expected to work 14 days a month on a 12-hour shift schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control operations in a control room environment, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Respond promptly to any alarms or emergencies, following established procedures.
- Maintain clear and accurate logs of operational activities and incidents.
- Communicate effectively with other team members and management to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure equipment is functioning correctly and report any issues or malfunctions.
- Perform routine checks and inspections on systems to ensure operational readiness.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and operational guidelines.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations during your shift.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a control room or similar role is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working night shifts, weekends, and on a rotating shift schedule.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and situations quickly.
Physical & Technical Requirements:
- Ability to physically lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Basic mechanical skills to assist with equipment checks and troubleshooting.
- Comfortable climbing ladders and using elevators to access different areas.
- Ability to work in all types of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures.
- Basic computer skills for logging activities, monitoring systems, and communicating with teams.
