Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Control Room Operator for a potential full-time opportunity. The role will involve monitoring and managing operations in a control room environment, ensuring smooth and efficient processes. The successful candidate will work on a continuous shift pattern, alternating between nights and weekends, and will be expected to work 14 days a month on a 12-hour shift schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control operations in a control room environment, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Respond promptly to any alarms or emergencies, following established procedures.
  • Maintain clear and accurate logs of operational activities and incidents.
  • Communicate effectively with other team members and management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure equipment is functioning correctly and report any issues or malfunctions.
  • Perform routine checks and inspections on systems to ensure operational readiness.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and operational guidelines.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations during your shift.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a control room or similar role is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working night shifts, weekends, and on a rotating shift schedule.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and situations quickly.

Physical & Technical Requirements:

  • Ability to physically lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
  • Basic mechanical skills to assist with equipment checks and troubleshooting.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders and using elevators to access different areas.
  • Ability to work in all types of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures.
  • Basic computer skills for logging activities, monitoring systems, and communicating with teams.
