Beyond the Office
The Express team in Edmonton supports several organizations, one that is quite prominent for the group is Junior Achievement Northern Alberta (JANA).
Jessica Culo, President, is the Volunteer Chair of JANA's Fund Development Committee and sits on their Board of Directors. In addition, The Express team supports JA by volunteering to teach financial literacy and entrepreneurship programs to youth, and by volunteering to mentor youth. Express also supports JA by donating funds directly to the organization, as well as providing fundraising opportunities for JA when hosting various events in the city.
Junior Achievement is the largest non‐profit organization in the world dedicated to inspiring and preparing youth to succeed in a global economy. For over 50 years, Junior Achievement of Northern Alberta & NWT has engaged and inspired students from grades 3 to 12 through free programs about entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy. Junior Achievement maximizes student potential by exposing them to real-life business leaders that teach tangible and relatable lessons in order to prepare them for success.
JA is the link between education and the world of work, by giving youth the confidence and knowledge they need to define personal success, enhance their work readiness and pursue their dreams. Acquiring and practicing business skills gives students the confidence needed to define personal success, gain financial responsibility and become contributing members of the workforce.
