On August 11th, 2014 Curtis Debogorski opened his first Express Employment Professionals office in Red Deer, Alberta.  Curtis and his dynamic team help good people find jobs and local businesses find the talent and human resource services they need.  Curtis states, "We believe small business is the vital spark to growing the Canadian economy and thus are committed to helping small and mid-size businesses in Central Alberta increase employee retention and reduce turnover to enable leaders to remain focused on core business objectives.   Being locally owned but part of a network of 845 offices and growing, we’re large enough to serve you completely, yet small enough to move quickly and act independently.  Our client base continues to grow and includes many industries including: public service, accounting/finance, oil and gas, skilled trades, debt collections, construction and medical."

Before opening the Express office in Red Deer, Curtis served the Government of the Northwest Territories and the Government of Alberta for a combined 19 years.  The balance of his diverse experience was positions within operations management, human resources, recruitment, training and policy analysis. Curtis’s former Manager commented, “Curtis has displayed both the desire and ability to provide structure and purpose to the development of personnel throughout the justice department.  He has demonstrated throughout his career a natural affinity to lead diverse teams and projects to desired results.  An example of this is when Curtis co-chaired a Human Resource Committee to re-organize human resource practices. His organizational awareness enabled him to build effective relationships and develop a recruitment and hiring process that recruited, selected, trained and employed candidates to work in correctional centres throughout the north.”

Curtis is married to Jennifer Debogorski who is a Registered Nurse with over seventeen years’ experience in public health / obstetrics and is a former Yellowknife Catholic School Board Member from 2006-2010.  Jen and Curtis are proud parents of three beautiful and active girls staying busy with local youth sports and activities.   Jen acts as a Clinical Consultant in the Express Healthcare Staffing Division of the business.  

 In 2014 as captain, Curtis led the Yellowknife Raven's all star broomball club as captain to the World Broomball Championships in Tomokamai, Japan and captured the gold medal in the elite men's division.
