ALPHARETTA, GA DEC. 4---Express Employment Professionals today released new survey results revealing which traits are most important when considering a job candidate. The findings come from a survey of 134 Express franchisees across the nation. Respondents were asked to rate various traits on a scale of one to five based on how important they are when evaluating applicants. This is the third year Express has released findings from its “America Employed” survey on this topic. This year, “work ethic/integrity” topped the list with an average rating of 4.5, followed closely by attitude, which topped the list in 2014, with a rating of 4.47. Once again, education received the lowest rating, this time with an average of 2.44.
“Many companies that we work with are all looking for the same thing, someone that is willing to work hard and learn new skills," said Rodney Moore, franchise owner of the Alpharetta Express office. "For someone with a good work history and willingness to learn, employers are willing to provide training and opportunities for growth. To keep the job, employees must demonstrate a high level of work ethic and integrity, and earn the chance to learn a new skill.”
The survey of 134 Express Employment Professionals franchisees was conducted in July 2015. Earlier surveys were conducted in 2014 and 2013.

Express Alpharetta's Office Lunch - Celebrating Thanksgiving Together
Last week, Express Alpharetta enjoyed our annual Thanksgiving lunch. We celebrated the season of giving, by expressing THANKS to one another and sharing in more laughs and memories together. We had an amazing time with outstanding food and incredible fellowship. It was a great way to kickoff the holiday season.
November 2015 - Customer Service Week
SCS recently celebrated their agents who work so hard. They started off the week supporting Breast Cancer with “Pink Power Day”. Tuesday it was “Couch Potato Day”..Lots of agents wore their slippers and PJs, enjoyed hotdogs and popcorn and a showing of The Avengers and Hot Pursuit!! On Wednesday, they had “Team Spirit Day”, where they “Pimped out Chairs” with each team creating chair floats. Thursday was “Twin Day”. They rounded out the week with treats and pizza for the agents!! Overall it was great celebration!
Express Alpharetta Owner Selected to Serve on the Board of Advisors for Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl
Rodney Moore, Express Employment Professional Alpharetta owner, was recently selected to serve on the Board of Advisors of the Chick fil A Peach Bowl. The Chick fil A Peach Bowl is recognized as one of Top Six College Bowls in the country and in 2016 it will be one of two host sites for the Semifinal College Playoff games. Since 2002, they have donated over nine million dollars to charity and scholarships and is recognized as college football’s most charitable bowl.
As part of his responsibilities, Rodney will be attending football games of potential universities who would be considered eligible to play in this year’s bowl game in Atlanta, Georgia. Just recently, Rodney represented Chick fil A at Chapel Hill, North Carolina for the North Carolina University vs. Duke game. While on campus for the weekend he met key athletic leaders for both universities and received a VIP tour of NC University football complex. In addition, it was also a great opportunity to meet fans of both schools during their tailgating before game time.
This is an exciting personal and professional opportunity in helping to bring quality universities and their fans to the great Atlanta area!

In October, Express Alpharetta, GA sold Whaley’s one-pound bag of pecans to help those in our local community. The proceeds from these sales supported the following organizations: Boys and Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity, and Relay for Life.

September 2015 - Express Alpharetta Attends Express's Regional SALESummit 2015!
All of us here at Express Alpharetta were absolutely thrilled to have been able to attend Express's 2015 Regional SALESummit in Atlanta, GA!
The Express Employment Professionals in Alpharetta, GA team attended SALESummit in Atlanta over the weekend. It was a great opportunity to network with other Express Employees and Franchisees throughout the South East Region! It was an awesome learning experience that allowed each member of our team to take advantage of the numerous variety of classes offered in order to help us sharpen our skills, learn and grow. We all had such a blast and came back with such enthusiasm to reach our goal of Putting One Million People to Work annually.
We were also so excited and extremely proud that our very own Staffing Professional, Alan Stubblefield was chosen to host on the panel discussion for the conference. Alan spoke of the different strategies our local team utilizes in order to help achieve not just his own goals, but the emphasis our staff puts on working as a team for our entire team to reach our goals as well. Alan did great and gave some really great insight as to how our office all helps each other out to succeed. Express Alpharetta was also recognized for the top sales in our region! So, we are very thankful to our team and to Express for allowing us to share our insight and methods into our business that in turn hopefully lead to the ultimate success of numerous Express Offices across the country!

September 2015 - New Express Office Opening in Macon, GA!
Express Alpharetta would like to introduce Rachel Norris and Lisa Holmes as the newest Express Franchise owners. August 2015 - Rachel, Our Beloved Office Coordinator Leaving to Spend More Time with Family
Express Alpharetta's absolutely beloved Front Office Coordinator, Rachel Cooper, is leaving us to spend more time with her family!
It saddens us to announce that our wonderful Front Office Coordinator, Rachel Cooper, is leaving us to spend more time at home with her beautiful children. Rachel is expecting her 4th child at the end of August!! Rachel has beyond dedicated her services to Express Employment Professionals in Alpharetta, GA since 2013 and will be sorely missed here around the office. She was a bright and shining member of our team and we wish her all of the best! Thank you for all of the hard work and dedication that you have given to our office. Rachel may be gone, but she certainly will never be forgotten here as a cherished member of our Express Alpharetta family.

July 2015 - Express Alpharetta Helps Children's Healthcare of Atlanta
Express Employment Professionals in Alpharetta, GA highlighted as a "Miracle Maker" for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta!
Express Employment Professionals in Alpharetta, GA contributes to our community in a number of ways. It is important to us and it is something that our business values at our core. We not only work to change lives by helping people reach their employment needs and goals, but we also support a number of community organizations through various efforts as well. Our support by Helping Family Support Services at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (a Children's Miracle Network Hospital) has given us the opportunity to be deemed a "Miracle Maker" for the month of July 2015. Areas within Family Support Services include: social work, chaplaincy, child life, school program and family experience and interpreters & translators. We are so honored to be recognized with this title and even more honored to have been able to help the children in our community that are in need.

July 2015 - Express Alpharetta Hosts "Express Attendance Survivor Contest"!
The Express Employment Professionals Office in Alpharetta, GA hosted an Attendance Survivor Contest from March 2nd until July 3rd at Secure Contact Solutions. Each of the contestants had Perfect Attendance from the start of the contest until the end on July 3rd. In addition to the cash prize, each winner was awarded an "I survived" t-shirt! Our winners include Giovvanni Arevalo, Esther Godswill, Patricia Alsobrook (not pictured), and Christy Grimes. Giovvanni Arevalo was our Grand Prize winner of $100 cash!! Esther and Patricia were our runners up winning $75 and $50.

June 2015 - Express Alpharetta Wins 2015 "Business of the Year" Award!
Express Alpharetta has been awarded by the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce as their 2015 "Business of the Year!"
Our Express Employment Professionals in Alpharetta, GA was graciously awarded as the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce "Business of the Year" for 2015! Express Employment Professionals was recognized as Business of the Year with six to twenty employees.There were over 80 applicants this year and Express Employment Professionals was chosen as a leader in business growth, business culture and community involvement.
"We knew that Express Employment had set a very high bar for the rest of the interviews as soon as we walked out of their office", said Don Kemp, Chair of the selection committee. "It was a pleasure to interview them and even more, to choose them for the Business of the Year award."
Express Employment demonstrated growth in sales over the last three years while understanding client demands and meeting their needs. During our office visit, we witnessed and were extremely impressed by the way the Express Employment staff treated job applicants in the initial meeting. They truly "walk the talk" in their business practices. We were pleased to learn of the many ways they interface in the community with ongoing involvement in many projects and venues.
"Since 2000, we have been helping businesses find great workers and helping job seekers find work. This is already rewarding yet being recognized by the Cumming Forsyth County Chamber just reaffirms that we're making a difference", said Rodney Moore, owner of the Alpharetta Express Employment Professionals office.
As Business of the Year, we were invited to attend an award presentation to honor Congressman Rob Woodall with the "2015 Spirit of Enterprise" Award. The US Chamber of Commerce awarded Congressman Rob Woodall for his support of pro-growth and pro-jobs policies for the 7th District of Georgia. During the award ceremony on June 22, Express Alpharetta was also once again honored for our "Business of the Year" award and was able to honor Congressman Rob Woodall with his "2015 Spirit of Enterprise" award, too!

June 2015 - Express's "Brand It Blue Day" Food Drive a Huge Success!
Thanks to everyone for joining us during the week of June 15th 2015, for our annual Brand It Blue Day to help those in our local community!
Express Employment Professionals Alpharetta recently participated in Express Brand It Blue food drive with the North Fulton Community Charities. We would like to give special thanks to the clients and employees that participated to made this event a very worthy cause. The drive results were overwhelming. At the end of the drive thousands of cans of food were donated. Also, we would like to recognize and give thanks to our Event Chairman, Alan Stubblefield for organizing and executing a very successful event!
We wanted to thank everyone again for your donations and giving us the ability to continue to help others in our local community!
During the week of June 15th 2015, we hosted an annual Brand It Blue Day at Express Alpharetta in which people participated in the event by inviting clients, associates, employees, neighbors, family, and friends to come together to help in the fight against hunger. There were lots of ways to help – from volunteering on the day of the event to hosting a food drive in the weeks leading up to Brand It Blue Day.
In 2014, 205 Express offices participated in Brand It Blue Day 2014 and more than 1,000 volunteers showed up to help. Along with the time and hard work you gave to help your food bank or pantry, Express offices also collected more than 36,000 pounds of food, which will provide more than 30,000 meals for people in need. With the incredible success of the event in 2014, we had to participate once again in this year's event and are excited to continue to be a participating office for many more years to come!

It's official - Alan Stubblefield is now a lawfully wedded husband!
Express Alpharetta's own Alan Stubblefield (Certified Staffing Professional) has now tied-the-knot with his beautiful wife, Karen. On Saturday May 2, Alan stood at the alter waiting for Karen to meet him there, surrounded by their loving and adoring friends, family members and co-workers. We are so honored that Alan and Karen invited the Express Alpharetta team to share their special day with them. Their service was absolutely beautiful and moving to everyone in attendance and was held in Cleveland, GA at The Ruins at Kellum Valley Farms.

April 14, 2015 - Express Alpharetta at Norcross Cooperative Ministries Job Fair!
Express Employment Professionals in Alpharetta, GA participated in a local Job Fair hosted at Norcross Cooperative Ministries helping people in our local community learn valuable Job Search and Workplace Skills!
Express Alpharetta always makes our efforts to better our community in any way possible a priority. That is why we chose to participate in our local Job Fair Event hosted at Norcross Cooperative Ministries this past Tuesday, April 14th. We organized a PowerPoint Presentation that we presented during the event to help our local Job Seekers learn skills and tactics on subjects such as "How To Get A Job" and "How To Keep A Job!" We are determined to empower people with this important knowledge so that they can find success in their job search and we can ultimately lower our unemployment rate right here in Alpharetta, GA! We are very proud to have been a part of this event and hope to have the opportunity to spread this knowledge with others again soon!

During Express Employment Professionals' International Leadership Conference in Nashville in March of 2015, many awards were given to franchisees, offices, staff members and regions. We are very proud to have been a contributing factor in our region winning the rank of #1 for Gross Margin Dollar Increase for 2014! The Express Georgia Region Developer, Bill Curvino was awarded the recognition for this astounding achievement at the Express ILC Banquet.
