Lee and Shannon opened Express Employment Professionals of Indy North in November 2005. Setting up shop in the town of Fishers, the couple overtime established the over 15-year-old firm as one of the leading employment agencies in North Indianapolis.

Lee and Shannon lived in Chicago for 18 years when Lee received a job offer in Indianapolis. A bit leery, Lee and Shannon ultimately decided to take the chance and relocate. They have since come to love the city of Indianapolis and it's communities.

A general good day off for Lee would consist of some gardening, enjoying the outdoors, reading a good book, and smoking a cigar. If Lee has a trip scheduled on his calendar, he's all set.

Shannon and Lee opened the Express Employment Professionals of Indy North office in November 2005. Physically located in the town of Fishers, the Wenningers have built one of Hamilton County's premier staffing agency, proudly working with local North Indianapolis companies over the past 15 years! 

As a person, Shannon is reliably honest with herself and others. She holds herself to a high standard and encourages our team and associates to bring their very best every day. Shannon also loves to find opportunity within every problem she faces and always learn a lesson from every mistake. She is filled with gratitude and tries to find the blessing in every action.

Shannon was born in Helena, Montana, grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, and lived in Chicago, Illinois, before making Indianapolis her home after Lee took a job in the area. Twenty years later, this has been the longest Shannon has lived anywhere. She loves being a Hoosier and living in a community of friendly and grounded people.

Before becoming the Co-Owner of Express Indy North, Shannon worked for national and international non-profits. She headed the communications and marketing divisions and worked with committees and boards on strategic planning.

In Shannon's free time, she enjoys cooking, doing anything creative, volunteering at church, and hanging out with her two daughters, Emma and Lily and two fur daughters.

How Others Describe Her

Those closest to Shannon would best describe her as someone with a good sense of humor and doesn't take herself too seriously. However, she can go into "mama bear" mode at the flip of a switch!

Lekeida joined the Express Indy North team as a Recruiting Specialist in September 2021. Hardworking, creative, and organized, Lekeida is always prepared to get to work each day. Before coming to Express, she worked in Customer Service and Collections. 

Lekeida moved to Indianapolis about eight years ago. While here visiting her sister, she ended up finding a better job, and from there, everything else fell into place. 

When Lekeida isn't at work, she enjoys spending most of her time making custom t-shirts and party decorations.

Katie joined our team at Express Employment Professionals in November 2021, bringing with her seven years of HR experience, having worked as a Human Resources Generalist and Director. Cheerful and sympathetic, Katie has shown that she possesses a deep compassion for our associates and strives to work as hard for them as they do for us.  

Katie has lived all over the place but mostly grew up in Northern Indiana.  Kate has since settled down and is the mother of two young boys and two furbabies, Lex, a Beagle mix named Lex, and Akira, a  Black Lab mix.
